Art on the Mall
It's summer and that means Art on the Mall. Join us and help us celebrate our 24th year of fabulous art on the Main Campus of The University of Toledo. Our outdoor juried art show will take place this year on Sunday, July 31 from 10 am – 5 pm.
This free, public event will have more than 100 booths featuring mediums, including acrylic, glass, jewelry, mixed media, pen and ink, oil, photography, pottery, textile, watercolor, woodwork and more.
"The quality of our artists' work is outstanding and there is something for everyone. We have a diverse and eclectic mix, sure to excite art lovers of all kinds," said Ansley Abrams-Frederick, director of alumni programming in the UT Office of Alumni Relations. "In addition, the venue of our beautiful campus is the ideal place to enjoy the day. Free parking, golf cart shuttles and no admission certainly make this show appealing to all."
Each booth will have artwork available for sale by cash or guests can pay with a credit card either at the artist booth or at a credit card station in the Student Union.
Additionally, artists' works will be juried by art-savvy representatives from the Dayton Art Institute. Prizes will be granted to top artists and the highest award, UT's Best of Show, will be granted to the best artist with an affiliation to the University —current students, faculty, staff, retirees, alumni or parents.
Food and beverages will be for sale all day from Karen Anne's Kettle Corn, Opa! Gyros, Java Sensations, K & K Concessions, Jeanie's Comfort Cuisine and Let's Go Nuts.
A beer and wine garden will also be available for guests 21 and older with a valid ID, featuring ice cold craft beer and a selection of red and white wines.
Music will fill the air from 10 am – 5 pm with performances from UT student groups, Minor Frett and The Cosmonauts.
Art on the Mall's presenting sponsors are The Blade and Huntington. Other supporting sponsors include 13abc, Buckeye Broadband, Homewood Press, Mail It and 101.5 The River.
Free parking will be available in Lot 1 South, Lot 1 North and Lot 13 with golf cart shuttle service to transport guests and their packages to and from Centennial Mall, if needed.
Please note that due to bridge construction internal to campus, you will not be able to reach Lot 10 by entering campus at Bancroft St. and University Hills Blvd. Please use entrances at Douglas St., Dorr St. or Secor Rd. to reach parking Lot 10. Golf cart shuttles will be available.
