What is UToledo's Day of Giving?

A 36-hour fundraising event during which students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends come together to raise money for student scholarships and funds while creating awareness of UToledo's mission to improve the human condition.

When is Day of Giving?

This year's campaign will kick off on Wednesday, April 6 and end on Thursday, April 7.

How will the money raised during UToledo's Day of Giving be used?

Donors may choose to give to one of more than 2,000 University of Toledo Foundation-held funds. Your gift will advance the possibilities for UToledo students to continue their education.

Will my check count toward the Day of Giving if I place it in the mail by a certain date?

All gifts postmarked on or before April 7 will be counted! Please help us make sure we know you’d like to support our campaign by writing "Day of Giving" in the memo line of your check, in addition to the fund you’d like to support.

MAY I MAKE MY GIFT AFTER THE CAMPAIGN ENDS ON APRIL 7?

You are welcome to make a gift at any time but in order for your gift to be counted specifically for our Day of Giving campaign, you must give before the end of the campaign on April 7.

To whom should I make my check payable?

The University of Toledo Foundation.

Which credit cards do you accept?

Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

Are gifts tax-deductible?

Yes. Gifts are 100 percent tax-deductible.

May I bring my donation to the Foundation office?

Yes. We are located at The Center for Alumni and Donor Engagement, 4510 Dorr St. Toledo, Ohio 43615.

Is there a minimum online donation?

Yes; the minimum is $1.

May I donate to any fund I wish?

Yes.

Will a pledge count?

Yes. All new pledges count. Payments on existing pledges do not count.

Can I make part of my existing pledge count toward the Day of Giving?

No.

Can I use payroll deduction if I am a University or Foundation employee?

Yes. Faculty and staff at UToledo may choose to make their gift via payroll deduction by contacting:
