About Us

Women & Philanthropy at The University of Toledo was created in 2005 by a group of women each wanting to do their own part to make a difference—by working together.

That grassroots philanthropic effort has become a driving force: uniting women in their mutual interest to advance the mission of UToledo. W&P supports and promotes the University—while building relationships among a community of generous, forward-thinking women.

Members pledge $500 to $1,000 or more each year to one of the W&P funds at The University of Toledo Foundation. Available monies are granted annually to a variety of University programs and projects, based on a member vote.

In addition, the women enjoy special programming and social opportunities. Members also engage in rewarding opportunities to influence, mentor, and guide other young women on their own roads to philanthropy.

Our Mission

Women & Philanthropy at The University of Toledo aspires to promote the University through investments and grants to University initiatives. We are committed to forging new relationships and building a community of thoughtful, effective philanthropists among women diverse in age, interests and backgrounds.
